Curriculum Vitae

Maarten Wilmink (2001) studied organ with Louis ten Vregelaar from 2014 to 2019. This organlessons were the start of his musical education. In September 2019 he started at the Codarts conservatory in Rotterdam. He studies principal organ with Ben van Oosten and piano with Martin Lekkerkerk. He also receives basso continuo lessons with Bas de Vroome and improvisation lessons with Hayo Boerema and Aart Bergwerff.

Maarten played organ concerts on well-known and monumental organs in the Netherlands and abroad. For example, he performed in the St. John's Cathedral in Den Bosch, the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht and the St. Lambertus basilica in Hengelo. Maarten also plays regularly during church-related activities. He played several times during Masses, which were broadcast live on NPO 2 (Dutch Television). In addition to this, Maarten also has a YouTube channel on which he publishes his own recordings.

In the beginning of 2018 he is selected to participate in the Young-Talent Masterclasses during the International Organfestival Haarlem 2018. During this festival he received masterclasses with internationally renowned concert organists like Ben van Oosten, Leo van Doeselaar, Louis Robilliard, Lorenzo Ghielmi and Jean-Baptiste Robin. Maarten played also during the final concert of this festival.

In October 2018 Maarten won the first prize of his category of the SGO-Organcompetetion. During this competition he performed works by J.S. Bach and D. Buxtehude. This competition was organized in the Martini Church in Groningen.
